I’m learning Vedic astrology, so I’m curious to know your thoughts. To calculate Gulika divide the duration of day (dinmaan) into 8 equal parts. Should I just ignore this aspect table, and just assume that Saturn is aspecting fully on the 8th house with its seventh aspect when analysing charts? I have always been told to just look at the 3rd, 7th and 10th house form where Saturn is placed to see what it’s aspecting. The cusp of the sign rising at the beginning of the Gulika segment is considered as Gulika. However as I think about it 21 degrees isn’t really that late into the house.
This makes me think it’s because Saturn is at a rather late degree in the 2nd house, so it aspects into the 9th house.

This makes little sense to me, as I am learning astrology. Jagannatha Hora 7.32 software also has Yogi Venus Sahayogi Sun Avayogi Jupiter 2nd chakra ruled by Venus special deities Brahma Mercury Rudra Mercury Maheswara Jupiter 1st chakra ruled by Mercury to be found elsewhere in that Jagannatha Hora 7.32 software. A similar thing is also applicable to Saturn’s 3rd aspect, where it aspects that 5th house more that the 4th. Out of 60, the 8th house is only receiving about 27/60 aspect score, whereas the 9th house is closer to about 50. I would have thought since the 8th is 7 places from Saturn, then that would receive most of its aspect. To my surprise, Saturn is aspecting more on the 9th house than the 8th. However, this is where my confusion lies.Īs I am using the Jagannatha Hora application, I viewed the aspect table on the program. I know that Saturn aspects 3rd, 7th and 10th aspect from itself. These three charts are arranged so that the Sun, Moon and Lagna are. The outer chart starts from the Sun, the middle chart from the Moon and the inner chart starts from the Lagna.
